In Loving Memory of Daniel Ralph Hoag
January 3, 1984 - October 9, 2021
Daniel Ralph Hoag was born on January 3rd, 1984 at the Air Force Base Hospital in Minot, North Dakota to Donald Ralph and Tammy Rae (Woodford) Hoag. He grew up in Isanti, Minnesota and graduated from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 2003. Daniel recently attended Minnesota School of Business for Business Management.
Daniel enjoyed sports, especially baseball and football. In his free time, he would attend or watch the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings, was involved in a fantasy football league, and enjoyed playing video games with his family and gamer friends. He had a huge love for music and singing and was the lead singer in three bands in his lifetime: SoulScape, Hollow, and most recently 21 to Win.
Daniel's smile and sense of humor would light up the entire room and there would never be a dull moment. He enjoyed scoping out new foods, drinks, beers, and enjoyed cooking. Daniel was an absolute legend and jack of all trades.
Daniel married the love of his life, Sara Dowson, on August 9, 2014 in Saint Cloud, Minnesota at the Joe Faber Baseball Field. Together, they brought into the world 3 amazing sons who were his pride and joy. He especially loved spending time with his family and being a dad to Harley Ralph(6), Hunter Maddux(4), and Hendrix Haze (3). He was also a proud uncle and godfather to his 2 beautiful nieces; Jaslyn and Ivylina Perowitz and a loving uncle to Devin Hoag.
Daniel passed away, at the age of 37, on Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Minneapolis, Minnesota with family by his side.
Daniel is survived by Sara, his loving wife of 7 wonderful years; children, Harley Ralph, Hunter Maddux, and Hendrix Haze Hoag; parents, Donald and Tammy Hoag; brother, Dewayne (Trista) Hoag; sister, Jessie (Matt) Perowitz; grandparents, Glory Hoag, Dewayne and Donna Woodford; Aunts, Linda (Mark) Dorn (godmother), Connie Hoag, Cindy (Bob) Pfeifer; uncle, Jerry (Jaime) Woodford (godfather); nieces (godchildren), Jaslyn and Ivylina Perowitz; nephew, Devin Hoag; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Ronald Ralph Hoag; uncle, Rodney Woodford; great uncle and great aunt Frederick and Margie Downs and many more loved ones whom are not named but never forgotten.
A funeral service is scheduled on November 8, 2021 at Washburn-McReavy Dawn Valley Chapel and Memorial Park located at 9940 Bush Lake Rd, Bloomington, MN 55438. A public visitation will be held from Noon-1:00 p.m. with the service at 1:00 p.m. and a short graveside ceremony following the service.
