Daniel Hobbs Obituary
Daniel R. Hobbs, 64, of Manlius, passed away on Friday November 7, 2025 at the Grand in Chittenango. Daniel was born in Syracuse on November 25, 1960 son of the late James and Geraldine Hobbs. Daniel was a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School and retired from Onondaga County Parks as security and grounds keeper after many years. He was a member of the Delphi Falls Fire Dept. In his earlier years he loved the outdoors, hiking and riding his bike in the woods all around NY and Georgia. He also enjoyed driving around NY State with old friends and meeting new people. Daniel loved building toy model cars and collecting antique toys. Dan loved helping people and was always willing to lend a hand to all those in-need.
He is survived by his son, Jordan (Delaney) Hobbs, three sisters, Maureen Gorman, Kathleen (Robert) Bodley, Mary Eileen (Patricia) Hobbs, two brothers, Timothy (Pam) Hobbs, Michael (Noreen) Hobbs, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his nephew Jeremy Gorman and brother-in-law Bill Gorman.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring/Summer of 2026.
