Daniel Hohmeier, 95, beloved husband of the late Patricia (Gillespie) and the late Carmen (Obuchowski), cherished father of Mary (Richard) Friedrich, Thomas (Deborah) Hohmeier, and John (Sharon) Hohmeier and the late Mary Pat.
Born on Christmas Eve to Katherine (Kulleck) and Joseph Hohmeier. Preceded in death by his dear siblings, Richard (Jean), George (Norma), Josephine (Joseph) Lyons, Clement (Dorothy, who survives him,) and the late Lawrence. "Favorite uncle" to many nieces and nephews. Fond brother-in-law of the late Margaret and Albert Glueckert.
Member of Tonti Council #1567 and Past Grand Knight, former Vice President of St. Edward Church Holy Name Society, Usher at St. Edward Church for 30 years, Collection counter, member of St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Old Irving Park Association, and a World War II veteran.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 23rd from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Tohle Funeral Home 4325 W. Lawrence Ave. Chicago, IL 60630 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Edward Church 4350 W. Sunnyside Ave Chicago, IL at 10:30 AM. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
Memorials will be graciously appreciated in the offering of Masses for the repose of his soul, per his request. Please omit flowers.
