Mr. Daniel Keith Hollifield, 72, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at his residence.
Dan was born in Rutherfordton, North Carolina on June 25, 1951 to the late Juanita and Johnny Hollifield. Dan spent his childhood growing up in the Belvedere, South Carolina area, where he was a North Augusta High School graduate. He proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Navy, serving 3 tours during the Vietnam era. He worked in sales with various employers, including Lowes for over 30 years. Some of his hobbies included playing the drums, listening to and playing beach music, as well as visiting the mountains and beach- Emerald Isle, NC being one of him and his wife's favorites. Dan was also a member of the Aiken Masonic Lodge #156, A.F.M.
In addition to his parents, Dan is preceded in death by his sister Catherine Ford and brother Rev. Robert "Bobby" Hollifield.
Left to cherish his memory along with his wife of 35 years, Mrs. Linda Key Hollifield, is his daughter Christy Hollifield, of Aiken SC, his son Joseph "Tony" Hollifield (Rachel), of Bethlehem, GA; his granddaughters Breanna Briggs (Caleb), of North Augusta, SC, Katie and Leeloo Griffeth of Bethlehem, GA; his grandson Christopher Briggs of Aiken, SC; and his brother Morris Hollifield, of Rutherfordton, NC.
At this time, the family plans to hold a private inurnment in Pine Grove Cemetery at a later day.
