Born March 2, 1985 in Selmer, TN, Daniel Jeremiah Holmes was the oldest child of James and Rhonda Cobb (Davis). He grew up in McNairy County were he was known as Jeremiah, and !graduated McNairy Central High School. In May 2008 he enlisted in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Danny Joe Davis and Sandra Jean Davis Gray of Bethel Springs TN. and his cousin William Jonathan Ward.
He is survived by his son Daniel Jalen Holmes of Bethel Springs TN, his mother and stepfather James and Rhonda Cobb, of Jesup GA, his brother, Nathan Forest Holmes of Lexington TN and sister, Sarah Elizabeth Thomas,(Holmes) and Christopher Crosier. of Selmer TN. In addition, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeremiah loved his family, his dogs Mojo and Ramsey, and loved helping anyone he thought was in need.
