Mr. Daniel Wayne “Big Dan” Hunley, age 51 of LaFollette passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He attended Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a Heavy Truck Mechanic. “Big Dan” enjoyed riding side-by-sides in the mountains, being on the lake, visiting with his friends at Norris Point Campground, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Preceded in death by Grandparents, Fred and Pearl Hunley, Uncles, Don, Bill, and Paul Hunley, and Aunts, Anna Mae Webb, Bessie Lawson, and Sue Watson.
He is survived by his Sons, Dylan Michael Wayne Hunley and Daniel Chase Hunley; Parents, Margaret Browning and Mike Willis; Sister, Tonya Underwood; Brothers, Dale and Keith Nelson; Uncles, Carl and Clarence Hunley; Special Nephews and Nieces, Scottie Underwood (Desiree), Whitney Smith (Ryan), Evan and Erica Nelson; Special Friends, Ben and Donna Heuser, Kyle and Shelby Kroner, and Chad Albers; Several other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral Services to begin at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 10:30 AM at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Jacksboro Cemetery for 11:00 AM Graveside Services and Interment. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Daniel Wayne “Big Dan” Hunley.
