Daniel Hunter Obituary

Dan had been employed for 28 years at Al Tech Specialty Steel Corp in Watervliet and retired in 1994. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.
Dan enjoyed doing auto repairs both mechanical and body work. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Pleasantdale Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Micheline Landry Hunter and his devoted children, Tammy J. Russo (Phil) of Clifton Park and Daniel E. Hunter Jr. (Lisa) of Halfmoon. He is the brother of Alicia McKinney (David) of Melrose and the late Alson Hunter. He is the proud grandfather of Danielle M. (Kyle Cacciola), Gabrielle E and Luke M. LeBlanc, Anthony P. Russo, Elena N. Elliott, Shelby R. and Noah D. Hunter and great grandfather of Hunter John and Mia E. Cacciola. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 am Thursday from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford and at noon at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 – 11:30 am, prior to the funeral.
