Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him
Psalm 127:3
A Time to Be Born: Daniel Devon Jackson was born February 19, 2003, the second born, son of Danny and Stacy Jackson. Daniel's birth brought great joy to the family. Daniel was the cutest bundle of joy and he was loved and cherished dearly by family.
A Time to Grow: Daniel was baptized at an early age and became a member of Hub Community Church. Daniel was active in the choir and song solos of God's praises. Daniel graduated from Hattiesburg High School in 2021. Daniel was a member of the Hattiesburg High Marching Tigers Band where he was a saxophonist and flag core coordinator. Daniel continued his education and received an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts at Jones Junior Community College (JCJC) in Ellisville, Mississippi. At Jones Junior College, Daniel was a member of the Maroon Typhoon Marching Band and the culinary arts club. During his time at JCJC, Daniel developed meaningful friendships with both his classmates and professors.
A Time to Live: Daniel was a vibrant person who wholeheartedly believed in living life out loud and to the fullest. He approached each day with authenticity and courageously chased his passions. As a proud member of the color guard group " McComb Flag Guard," Daniel participated in numerous parades across Mississippi and Louisiana, dazzling audiences with his signature flag routines. To pass on his love for color guard, Daniel crafted a special flag for his little sister, encouraging her to follow in his footsteps. Daniel was an aspiring chef. He loved the culinary arts by cooking flavorful dishes for his family. He enjoyed cooking techniques, French dishes, dessert presentations, creating recipes, and recreating recipes.
Daniel's heart and character embodied the essence of his favorite color, pink. This color symbolizes love, compassion, and nurturing-qualities that Daniel offered abundantly to his friends. He truly represented the ideal friend, always present during challenging times and providing unwavering support in every possible way.
Daniel was a burst of sunshine, always setting personal goals to achieve his dreams. He was all about being unapologetically himself and living his best life. With his pink car and pink braids, Daniel's look was a true reflection of his vibrant spirit-confident, proud, and free.
A Time to Embrace: Daniel was a loving son, a Fur Dad, brother, cousin, Godfather, and a devoted family member and friend. Daniel was affectionately known to his friends as DJ.
A Time to Die: 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. It is natural for a man to die as to be born. For we believe that death is not extinguishing the light; it is putting out the lamp because dawn has come.
Daniel was greeted at the open gates of heaven on December 28, 2024, by his grandparents Elmon Jackson, Sr. and Mary C. Jackson and Robert Allen, Sr. A Time to Mourn: Daniel leaves all his love and memories to his parents; Stacy and Danny Jackson of Hattiesburg, MS, one brother Joseph Jackson of D'Iberville, MS, one sister Naveyah Jackson of Hattiesburg, grandmother Bessie Allen of Hattiesburg, MS, and his Fur Baby, Goldie Jackson, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family, and friends.
