Daniel Lee (Danny) Johnson 83 of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away peacefully at home with his family on December 28, 2024. Daniel was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to Alfred and Pearl (Morgan) Johnson on October 16, 1941. Danny started his education in a 2 room schoolhouse, finishing at Harper Creek High School. He joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. While in the Navy he was stationed on the USS Intrepid visiting several ports around the world, being proudest of his service during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After serving his country Daniel went into the work force spending most of his working years at Kellogg’s, retiring after 30 plus years. He was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. March 12, 1960, was a special day, Danny married his childhood sweetheart Ruthann Leonard, starting a family and spending 64 ¾ joyful married years together. In his retirement years he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping, enjoying good food, relaxing in front of the tv and collecting eagles. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Pearl, Brother Alfred, Sisters; Mildred Orns and Adeline Haylock and Son; Terry. Daniel is survived by his Loving wife Ruthann, Sons; William & Daniel Jr. (Tracey). Grandchildren; Morgan, Dustin and Kesha. 4 great grand children with 2 expected this spring. It was Daniel’s wish that no services would be held at this time, and that his cremated remains be buried with his lifelong love “Ruthie”. Arrangements made by Richard A. Henry Funeral home and Cremation services. In Lieu of flowers, celebrate Dan’s life by enjoying a nice dinner with loved ones.
