Daniel Edward Johnson

It is with deep sadness that the family of Dan Johnson (known to many as Dan Ireland) announce his sudden passing on January 18, 2025, at the age of 45.
Dan was a beloved father to his daughter, Yee. He was the cool older brother of Brendan, Brittany, Elizabeth, and Edward and a younger brother of his sister, Amy.
Dan could be larger than life and the biggest personality in the room. When he was young, he told jokes that made the adults crazy and that the kids remembered for years after. He drew striking pictures, seemingly without much effort. He trained for years in martial arts under sensei John Meyer and with sifu Ray Hayward, who became a second family. He could do backflips without stopping.
He is survived by his daughter, Yee, mother, Carol, father, Ed, sisters; Amy (Dave), Elizabeth (Tom) and Brittany, brothers; Brendan (Dana) and Eddie, Grandpa, Dan. Dan was preceded in death by Grandma, Lois.
We will be celebrating Dan's life Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel Shoreview. Visitation starting at 10:00am, with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00am. Reception after the service on the upper level.
