On March 5, 2026, it pleased the Almighty Lord to call out of this veil of tears the soul of Daniel Paul Kant at the age of 56 years.

Daniel Paul Kant was born on November 23rd, 1969 in Springfield, Minnesota, the son of Rev. Robert and Irene (nee Sidlik) Kant. He was baptized in the name of Christ on December 7th, 1969 and confirmed in his faith at Cross Ev. Lutheran Church in Rockford, MN, on April 15th, 1984. Dan attended Lutheran elementary school at Salem Lutheran School in Greenfield, MN, and graduated from West Lutheran High School in Plymouth, MN, in 1988. He attended Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.

Dan worked in sales most of his life, the last ten years at United Health Care in Minneapolis, MN. An avid sports fan, Dan loved his Minnesota sports teams, especially the Timberwolves. He enjoyed attending sporting events and playing fantasy football. He worked briefly for the Minnesota Timberwolves selling season tickets. He was a member of King of Grace Lutheran Church in Golden Valley, MN, serving as an usher and on the membership board. Dan was close to his siblings, was very fond of his nieces and nephews, and enjoyed time with his friends.

Dan is survived by five siblings: Tim and (Sue) Kant of West Allis, WI, Judith Kant of South Lake Tahoe, CA, Marsha and (John) Hooge of LeRoy, MN, Janice and (Rev. Matthew) Rauh of Arlington, MN, and Rev. Will and (Jill) Kant of Vallejo, CA; 13 nephews and nieces: Amy and (Paul) Ridenour, Andy and (Jenn) Kant, Emily and (Matt) Schlimme, Joshua and (Amberlina) Kant-Wood, Christina and (Ryan) Vanterpool, Sarah and (Seth) Ongstad, Jenna and (Christian) Schmidt, Caitlin and (Erik) Gibson, Maggie and (Zak) Fick, William Rauh, Robert Rauh, Kaleigh and (Jeff) Gabie, Amanda and (Jonah) Plocher; 19 great nephews and nieces; and many cousins.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Robert and Irene Kant.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18th, at King of Grace Lutheran Church in Golden Valley, MN, from 9-11 AM with a memorial service to follow at 11 AM. His mortal remains will be laid to rest with his parents at Greenhill Cemetery in Saint Peter, MN, to await the resurrection of the dead.
