Obituary of Daniel Kerr
Daniel Ryan Kerr, 34, of Bellevue, KY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Daniel was a brilliant soul-impossible not to love and even harder to forget. He had a unique gift for getting under your skin just long enough to make you laugh until it hurt. The more he loved you, the more he'd lovingly pester you-and Daniel loved hard. His sharp wit, magnetic personality, and infectious laughter were constants in the lives of those lucky enough to know him.
He cherished time with his sons, especially watching movies together. Daniel had a hilarious tradition of watching stand-up comedy while literally standing, mimicking every line like he was part of the act himself. He was a protector and a keeper of the ones he loved, especially his sister, whom he was so proud. An adventurous man, he loved camping, fishing, boating, and spending time in nature. Trips to the Red River Gorge with Uncle Tommy, Lake Cumberland with his sons, and whitewater rafting in West Virginia with his dad were among his most treasured adventures.
A man of many passions, Daniel found joy in cooking-his tacos were legendary. He delighted in shopping at Jungle Jim's and experimenting in the kitchen, proudly curating his own hot sauce collection. His creativity showed in every area of his life-from the meals he made to the art he drew, to his love of music, concerts, and live theater.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, James Hagan; siblings Dakota Hagan, Aimee Michelle Hagan, and Sarah Elizabeth Hagan; grandparents Bobby and Terry Hagan, Ron and Sue Nance, Steve Pierson, Les Kerr and Beverly Kerr.
He is survived by his parents, Tamela Pierson Kerr and Scott Kerr; his beloved sons, Sebastian James Kerr and Isaiah Scott Kerr; his girlfriend, Mindy Merritt; his little sister, Ravyn (Tyler) Sylvia; his grandmother, Shirley Kerr; his new nephew, Adonis Sylvia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins-each of whom he always greeted respectfully and lovingly using titles like "Aunt," "Uncle," or "Cousin" before their names.
Though just shy of 35, Daniel lived more life-and gave more love-than most do in twice that time. He likely would've celebrated his April 23 birthday with a great dinner and a glass of well bourbon.
To honor his memory, raise a glass, share a laugh, or, in true Daniel fashion, give a friend a wet willy. He wouldn't want it any other way.
