Sandra Jean Vicars

Sandra Jean Hines Vicars, age 66, of Burlington, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her residence.

Sandy was a devoted member of First Love Community Fellowship Church in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. A woman of deep faith, she was known as a prayer warrior who loved to worship and serve Jesus with her whole heart. Her faith guided her life and touched all who knew her.

Above all, Sandy cherished her family. She delighted in caring for them and was a wonderful cook and baker, lovingly remembered for her specialties such as Texas hash, enchiladas, and her treasured Christmas bread. She also enjoyed sharing laughter and friendly competition during a good game of Yahtzee.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Hines; her mother, Shirley Hines Jones; her brother, Perry Hines; her beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leeman and Myrtle Vicars.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Edward Vicars; her children, Jacob Vicars, Rebecca Vicars Bell, Daniel Vicars, and Jordan Vicars (Lauren); her siblings, Sherry Hines Riddle (Keith), Karla Hines Hill, and Brian Hines (Stephanie); and her cherished grandchildren, Ashton Mitchell, Kayden Bell, Genesis Bell, Christian Bell, Aubr ee Vicars, and Mia Vicars.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m., at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, Kentucky 41042. A reception will be held after the memorial service at Community Fellowship Church, 930 Curry Lane, Dry Ridge, KY 41035.
