Daniel King Obituary
WATERLOO - Daniel E. "Danny" King, 85, of Waterloo, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn, Indiana.
He was born on July 8, 1938, in Waterloo, Indiana, to Roy E. and Pauline (Putt) King.
Danny was a graduate of Ashley High School.
Danny served his state and country in the Indiana National Guard.
He married Sharon Knott on Feb. 21, 1975, in Auburn, Indiana, and she survives in Waterloo.
Danny worked for Dana Corporation in Auburn for 30 years, retiring in 1998.
Danny loved spending the winter months in Florida, with his wife, Sharon. He enjoyed fishing, spoonplugging, mushroom hunting and spending time in his garage working on cars and woodworking.
Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Tammy Sue Malecha, of Bradford, New Hampshire; two children, Brian A. King, of Waterloo and Debra K. (David) Haynes, of Garrett; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Jennie (Larry) Philips, of Fort Wayne and Darrel (Pam) King, of Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, David King.
A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Waterloo Cemetery, 538 N. Center St., Waterloo.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo.
