Daniel Alexander Kukuda, 81, of Leesburg, GA passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Daniel was born in Sharpsville, PA and was a veteran serving in the Air Force. Dan was a man who, although retired after 25 years with Beckman Coulter, just couldn’t stop working. He enjoyed his woodworking and always had a plan for a new project. He enjoyed making anything old look new again. He loved his family. He was the most proud Dad ever. Then came his grandchildren, who became the lights of his life. He loved the ocean. He loved our cruises. He was always excited on days we would be boarding a ship. Anyone who knew Dan loved him and appreciated his dry humor. He will be missed by many.
The world just became a little darker. It is my duty and my honor to make sure that men like Dan are not forgotten. REAL MEN. Men who stood on the right side of life and called out wrong where he saw it. Just like my father, there was no grey area. It was right and wrong. Everything he did he was teaching. I feel honored to have know such a man and call him my friend.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Thompson Kukuda, Leesburg, GA, children, Kelley Golden (Derek), Parrotsville, TN., Ray Hinson (Jessica), Houston, TX, Stephanie Doolittle (Bob), Tamarac, FL, grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Joshua, Brian, Kaitlyn, Sena, Alyssa and Alexis.
