Daniel LaComb, 61, of North Providence passed away peacefully Saturday January 10th in the very same home he grew up in.
Born in Providence, July 8th, 1964 to the late Frederick LaComb and Mary Jane Corrente.
He was the loving husband of Dawn (Garabedian) LaComb.
Danny grew up in North Providence surrounded by his siblings Fred, Ronald and Laurie in a bustling neighborhood surrounded by lifelong friends.
Out of High School, Danny joined the Navy. Serving his country Honorably for 6 years, He was proud of his submarine and surface service and to be a Shellback having navigated Equatorial waters.
Danny’s professional life as a Network Engineer not only provided for his family but took him on the road throughout the US and abroad. He designed networks for many companies but was most proud of his work at the Pentagon.
Danny was a man of many talents, but he thrived in the kitchen. He enjoyed the cooking but most importantly he took great satisfaction in the finished dish and watching his family and friends enjoy the meal.
Danny harbored a love of all things musical. Always dancing, listening to or signing along to his favorites (mostly the Blues).
You always knew when Danny was in the room. His infectious smile and the mischievous twinkle in his eye would let you know you were in for a good time!
The proudest moment of Danny’s life was when his son Anthony was born followed closely by the birth of his granddaughter Isabella. He loved being Bella’s “Grampi”!
Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his wife, he leaves his mother Mary Jane (Robert), his brother Frederick LaComb (Wendy), son Anthony LaComb (Lori) and granddaughter Isabella. He was preceded in death by father Frederick E. LaComb, his brother Ronald LaComb and sister Laurie LaComb.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, January 15th, 4:00-7:00 pm at Elliott Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. His funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16th at 11 am, followed by burial with military honors in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
