Daniel M. Lemon, of Roanoke, went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 29, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William E. Lemon and Ruth E. Lemon; his brother, Glenn Lemon; niece, Glenda Lemon; stepson, Duane Barton; Spouse, Jean Lemon; brother-in-law, Marvin Eanes; and special friend, Lawrence "Beatle" Lavender.

Daniel is survived by his loving daughters, Cynthia & Jackie Lapradd, Misty and Jack Beason, and his stepdaughter, Tamara Sloan. He is also survived by his brother, David Lemon, and wife Sheree; sister, Janet Eanes; grandchildren, Arielle Lapradd and Jacob Jimenez, Daniel Lemon, Kali Lapradd, and Dominic Myers; great-grandsons, Carson Horsely, JJ Jimenez, and Christian Jimenez; special friend, Sharmin Hayes; and his beloved dog, Lucy Lou, along with many cherished friends.

Daniel proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman from 1971 to 1974, stationed in Guam. He retired from Semco Sheet Metal after 28 years and was a dedicated member of the American Veterans (AMVETS). He was a wonderful Father to his daughters. Daniel loved golf, football, but most of all, he loved his family deeply and always did his best to care for them and his friends.

A special thank you to Good Samaritan for their compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held at 12 PM at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, send donations for services at Valley Funeral Home.

We were so sorry to hear of Mr. Lemon's passing. He was a beloved member of the neighborhood. Always had time to stop and chat when walking his Lucy. He will be missed and spoken of often. May his family and friends have peace and comfort and sweet memories .
