Daniel Nold MacGregor

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Nold MacGregor, 82, of Murrells Inlet, SC, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at his home with his beloved wife, Pamela, by his side.
Born on December 28, 1942, in Rochester, NY, Daniel was the son of the late Ronald and Evelyn Nold MacGregor. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Pamela MacGregor of Murrells Inlet, SC; their son Scott MacGregor; daughter Tami Crisafulli of New York; grandchildren Samantha Jacobs, Alexandra Crisafulli, Sydney MacGregor, and Sarah MacGregor; and great-grandchildren Rylee Jacobs and Parker Jacobs. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends and neighbors who will miss his kind and quiet spirit.
Daniel's professional life was marked by a distinguished 37-year career as a school administrator, during which he touched the lives of countless students and colleagues. Known for his dedication, compassion, and leadership, he was respected and admired by all who worked alongside him.
A man of many talents, Daniel was a classically trained musician who found joy in sharing his gifts with others. For many years, he played the organ for his church and sang in the choir, where his love for music brought comfort and inspiration to those around him. He traveled extensively as a member of an international choir group led by Joe Martin to perform in some of the world's most iconic concert halls. Outside of his musical pursuits, Daniel was an avid reader, often enjoying quiet moments lost in the pages of a good book.
However, it was golf that truly captured Daniel's heart. His passion for the game was unmatched, and he never missed an opportunity to enjoy a round on the course, where he made lifelong friends and found great joy in the camaraderie and challenge of the game.
Daniel's life was one of service, love, and unwavering devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on in the memories of the many lives he touched.
A service to celebrate Daniel's life will be held at Surfside United Methodist Church, 800 13th Ave N, Surfside Beach, SC 29575 on Wednesday, January 8th at 1pm.
