Lawrence Edward Judge

Lawrence E. "Larry" Judge, 81, of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025. Born on January 14, 1944, in Atkinson, Nebraska, Larry was the son of the late Joseph and Ann Judge. A proud graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School in Atkinson and Tulsa University, Larry went on to build a long and successful career with Shell Oil. He brought diligence, kindness, and a deep sense of responsibility to all he did, whether in the workplace, at home, or among friends. Larry was an active and beloved member of Christ the King Church and a longtime member of Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club, where he not only enjoyed the game of golf but also took great pride in organizing the Saturday morning men's golf group. He found joy in the little things-working in the yard, cheering on his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers and St. Louis Cardinals, and especially spending time with his family. Larry cherished annual beach weeks with his children and grandchildren and traveled the world alongside his wife, Kathy, creating memories filled with laughter and love. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy, and children: Lori (Jeff Finan), Lisa (Greg Hammonds), Kristin (Scott Chomko), Michael Judge, and Sarah (Scott Lumpkin). Larry was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren, whose lives were brightened by his warmth and humor. He is also survived by his siblings Joanne Blohm, Sr. Rita Claire Judge, and Dan Judge. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Larry's life. Larry will be remembered for his strong faith, generous heart, and the deep love he held for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
