Daniel D. Malinowski

Daniel D. Malinowski, age 87, of Gibsonia, PA, died peacefully on March 6, 2026 under the care of Villa St. Joseph. Born in Mahanoy City, Skullylkill County, PA, son of the late John Malinowski and Regina Lauritis Malinowski. Beloved husband for 56 years of Maura McDowell. Loving father of Padraic Malinowski, Conor Malinowski, and Meaveen Roney (Gary). Brother of Jack Malinowski (Debbie) and the late Fr. Francis Malinowski, Eleanor, Leonard, Dolores, Joan, Rosemary, and Conrad. Proud grandfather of Sean, Charlotte, Brendan, Luke, Maria, and Justin.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Catherine of Sweden Church, Sts. Martha and Mary Parish. Interment will follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery.

Daniel was a longtime nuclear engineer with Westinghouse Electric Corp. He attended Duquesne University where his uncles and cousins were Holy Ghost fathers. Dan went on to graduate school in engineering at M.I.T. and then went back to Duquesne law school where he earned his J.D. He was a sports aficionado, but nothing came close to his love of baseball and the New York Yankees. Dan loved his work, friends, and most of all his family and grandchildren.
