Joan L. Scanlon

Joan L. Scanlon (Sieffert), aged 73, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Joan was born on April 23, 1952, to Art and Norma Sieffert (Pritchard) in Ross Township. She graduated from Mount Assisi High School and was a retired employee of the Postal Service. Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, John P. Scanlon. She is survived by her children, John (Hannah) and Stacey, as well as her four grandchildren: Helena, Bethann, Joseph, and Brittany. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Sieffert, and was predeceased by her brothers Arthur and Timothy Sieffert. Joan loved her Golden Retriever, Phoebe, and held her family in the highest regard.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00pm and from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., located at 388 Center Avenue, West View, PA 15229. A Blessing Service will be conducted on Tuesday at 10:30am.
