Daniel Neal Marsh, of Arcadia, MO, entered into rest on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the age of 79 years, 11 months, and 30 days. He was born May 26, 1945, in San Diego, CA, a son of the late John Francis and Ila Rae (Sallinger) Marsh.
On August 22, 1964, Daniel was united in marriage to Dora Catherine (Parson) Marsh who survives. To this marriage three children were born, John Marsh and wife Amy of Ironton, MO, Gloria Acres and husband Kris of Holts Summit, MO, and Heather Kesel and husband John of Hartsburg, MO, all of whom survive. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Brittney Marsh and significant other Josh Stenberg, Cassidy Marsh and significant other Nicholas Daniel, Shawn Marsh and wife Ashley, Keelie Kesel, and Izabella Kesel; three great-grandchildren, Trinity, Mariah, and Jeighdon; one brother Clay Marsh and wife Wanda of Des Arc, MO, one sister Sue Brinkman and husband Dan of Fairview Heights, IL, and many more loving family members and friends.
After high school, Daniel was drafted to the United States Army where he served his country with pride and honor. After his military service, Daniel went to college, starting at Southeast Missouri University and finishing at Southwest Missouri University with his degree in Criminal Justice. He worked as a pipefitter and was a member of the Plumbers/Pipefitters Union in St. Louis for several years, and then went on to work the state of Missouri in Probation/Parole until his retirement. He was a member of the Marble Creek United Baptist Church, and he kept busy with his other hobbies and interests which included, Ironton Masonic Lodge from 1972-1980, Jaycees, woodworking, being a model train enthusiast, reloading his own ammo, gigging (frog and fish), hunting and fishing, deer hunting with his friends Bob Trotter and Wayne Kennedy, and bowling in many different leagues with his wife, family, and friends. He loved bowling with a passion and was active in at least three different leagues at a time in Pilot Knob and Bonne Terre.
Daniel Neal Marsh was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home.
A Visitation for friends and family to gather will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am and lasting until service time at 1:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home.
A meal will be provided for friends and family after the services at the Signer Center in Arcadia, MO.
Interment will follow the services at a later date.
