Daniel J. McCormick, Jr.

 

Daniel J. McCormick, Jr., 72, passed away on October 12, 2023. Son of the late Daniel J. McCormick, Sr. and Mary Jane McCormick (nee Cassidy). Beloved husband of Elizabeth A. 'Betty Anne' McCormick (nee Katein). Loving father of Daniel J. McCormick, 3rd (Katie), Robert J. McCormick (Jessica Hiland) and Thomas P. McCormick (Matthew Smith). Also sadly missed by his granddaughter Molly K. McCormick. Dear brother of Mary Jane McCormick and Margaret  Dolski (Frank). Also survived by nephews and their families.   Daniel served in the Philadelphia Police Department for over 25 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant, as well as an investigator for the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office and as a member of the Gun Violence Task Force.     Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 beginning at 10 AM at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Philadelphia, PA 19137.   Services will begin at 12 Noon. Int. Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Daniel's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 would be appreciated by his family.
