Mr. Daniel Edward Morris was born in Anderson, SC on October 18, 1952 to Doris Hardy Morris and Albert Simpson. He departed this life on Sunday, February 18, 2024.
Daniel grew up on Northside and graduated from Westside High School in 1970. After high school, he started work at Duke Power. He worked there for over 20 years until an injury required him to retire early. After retiring he later worked at Little Pigs Barbeque for several years.
Daniel was a member of Wilson Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a faithful usher. In his spare time, he loved to fish and take pictures. He was also known for telling the best stories. His kindness and his unforgettable smile will always be remembered.
He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Spangler "Spangi" Cox, Yashika Turner, and Nina Bowman; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Wilson, Deborah Lee, and Ophelia Brownlee; one brother, Frank Morris; and a host of relatives, close friends, and his Northside Family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Helen Walker.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2024 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. Public viewing Saturday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
