Daniel Thomas Murphy

Daniel Thomas Murphy born on January 8, 1966 in Newark, NJ to the late Robert and Dorothy Murphy. Dan sadly passed away in Loveland, CO on March 3, 2025. Dan graduated from Dunmore High School and East Stroudsburg University in Pa. He also studied Theology at the University of Scranton. He was studying for the Diocese of Scranton and went to St. Pius X Seminary in Dalton, Pa.
Dan was employed at Poudre School District as a Campus Security Officer. Dan enjoyed his job and cared about all the students he was surrounded by.
Dan is survived by the love of his life, Krystal Yep, daughter Riley Murphy and son Kaiden Yep, all of Loveland, CO. He is also survived by his three older brothers, Stephen Murphy, (Carolina Ibañez-Murphy, PhD), James Murphy (Mary Ellen) and Robert J. Murphy, Esquire, (Eileen). He is also survived by his niece, Kirsten, and nephews Bryan, Matthew, Robert and Shane, and great nephew Tristian, and cousins all of Dunmore, Pa. He adored his niece and nephews. Dan is also survived by his life-long friends from Dunmore, Pa. Dan was a devoted Roman Catholic. He loved football (USC Trojans and the Las Vegas Raiders) Dan enjoyed fitness, hiking and anything outdoors. He was an amazing father and person that loved his family deeply. Dan had a great sense of humor and could light up a room. He will be truly missed.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen
Funeral mass will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Parish: 1730 W 12th St, Loveland, CO 80537 on March 18th at 10 am. No reception will be held.
