Michael Cloutier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home & Crematory on Dec. 31, 2025.
Michael Louis Cloutier, affectionately known as Mike, Dad, or Mr. Ludi, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, in Loveland, Colorado, at the age of 73. Born on July 10, 1952, in Illinois to Louis and Patricia Cloutier, Michael lived a life defined by service, love, and unwavering integrity.

From an early age, Michael showed great determination and a fearless spirit. He proudly served as a Prince George's County police officer, dedicating himself to protecting others with courage and conviction. Michael first married Mary Cloutier, with whom he shared two sons, Chris and Michael Jr. Later, he married his second wife Karen Cloutier, with whom he welcomed his daughter, Rose.

A man of many interests, Michael found joy in life's simple blessings. Whether fishing at sunrise, standing by the grill, watching the clouds drift over the mountains, or losing himself in a good book, he embraced every moment. His passions included sports, weather patterns, airplanes, history, cars, and firearms-a reflection of his boundless curiosity and analytical mind.

Known for his heart of gold, humor, and relentless work ethic, Michael touched everyone he met. He stood firmly for his beliefs, loved deeply, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. His strength, intelligence, and warmth made him both a protector and a friend.

Michael is survived by his partner Denise; previous spouse and best friend Karen; his children Rose, Chris, Michael Jr., and his grandchildren Gabby, and Lilly; and a legacy of love and resilience that will live on in all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Louis, and his siblings, Kimberly Weilcheck and Richard Cloutier.

Graveside services will take place on Friday, the 2nd at 12:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs. As Michael would say, "Keep on keeping on."
