Daniel Patrick O'Connor

Daniel Patrick O'Connor II, 26, of Boca Raton, FL and Mount Pleasant, SC entered into eternal rest August 25, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 in Christ Church Anglican, Mount Pleasant, 2304 Highway 17 North at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Christ Church Anglican Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel. Please wear masks and social distance.

Daniel was born November 17, 1994 in Dallas, Texas, son of Daniel Patrick O'Connor and Patsy Fenters O'Connor. He was passionate about everything from paleontology to sports, especially his grand passion for tennis. He rose to elite levels in junior tennis all over the US, Caribbean, and Europe and played for George Washington University. He loved to coach, both fitness, and especially, tennis.

Daniel was persistent in his passion to join the Marines and was extremely proud of having been chosen as the Alpha Company Honor Graduate from Parris Island Recruit Depot June 5, 2020. He possessed tenderness, empathy, and kindness for others. He engaged in service projects, both with church youth outreach ministries, as well as a WWOOF volunteer program at a monastery in Thailand, where he fell in love with the country and its people.Daniel's heart was always united with his beloved French family, the Burners, as well as with many cherished memories of family times on the Mediterranean coast of France

Daniel is survived by his parents, Daniel Patrick and Patsy Fenters O'Connor of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, Robert Logan O'Connor (Nicolette) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; nieces, Caitlin and April, and nephew, Logan O'Connor; aunts, Marcia Chandler Rhea (Randy), Mary Kay O'Connor, Maureen O'Connor; uncles, Bill O'Connor (Margie), Jim O'Connor (Sharon), Michael O'Connor and John O'Connor (Jane); and cousins, Chandler, Hannah, Paul, Sarah, Timothy, Sean, Craig, Rachel, Brendan, Nicholas, and Nathan.
