Daniel T. Palko

Daniel T. Palko, of Onekama, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on February 15, 1940, to Joseph and Rose (Klimek) Palko, Dan lived a life grounded in
family, quiet strength, and unwavering love.

Dan was a devoted father to Pamela (Scott) Davis, Daniel (Crystal), and Stephen (Christine). His children were his greatest source of pride, and he found immense joy in the families they built. He was a cherished grandfather to Daniel (Theresa), Christian (Lee), Lindsay (Austin), Luke, and Anna - each one holding a special place in his heart. Nothing delighted him more than time spent with his grandchildren, whether he was sharing stories, offering encouragement, or simply enjoying their company. Dan was also blessed with two great grandchildren, McKenna and Daniel, who brought an extra sparkle to his later years.

He is survived by his dear sister, Rosalie Woodman, and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews who knew him for his steady presence and warm, gentle nature.

Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith, whose memory he carried faithfully throughout his life; his parents, Joseph and Rose; and his brother, Louis.

A lifelong car enthusiast, Dan could often be found in his garage with a wrench in hand and a project underway. He treasured his time up north at the lake - fishing, hunting, riding his mower, or sharing a quiet cup of coffee with the wonderful friends and neighbors who enriched his days.

Dan will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his kindness, and the dependable, generous spirit he offered to everyone around him. His legacy of love, loyalty, and gentle humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 8, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 3:00PM at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Avenue, Farmington, MI 48335.
