Obituary of Daniel Panichelli
Daniel Panichelli, a resident of Franklinville, New Jersey, since 1975, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. He was 71.
Dan grew up in Pennsauken with his parents Ruth and Dan and sister Carol Ann. He attended Camden Catholic High School where he met Kathleen Mangano. They began dating at the age of 15 and married right after graduation. They moved to the Birches apartments while Dan built their home in Franklinville where they still reside. Dan was a man of many talents. Through the years he worked construction, owned a video store, a gas station and eventually ended up in the Pizza business. He ran his own place in West Deptford for several years before opening Panichelli's Pizza in Sewell with his son D.J. Following Panichelli's he was thrilled to become "Dan the Pizza Man" at St. Augustine's Prep where he loved working right up until he passed.
Dan loved food, Elvis, The Rocky movies (5 was just OK, he didn't like the whole coma thing in Rocky 2 but it was his favorite training sequence and is the one where Rocky won the belt so ). He loved to ride his Harley and spend time with many loyal friends. His family was the most important thing in his life and most of all he loved Kathy. His true legacy is the life of love, laughter and respect he built with her.
He will be forever loved and missed by everyone who knew him but especially his daughter Renee and husband Tracy, his son Anthony and wife Monica, his beloved grandchildren, Vivienne & Rosalind and DJ Luca & Dominique. It comforts us to know Daddio is now with his son D.J. as well as the many family & friends that left us too soon.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ, 08080, on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 1 PM. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Sewell, NJ. Casual attire is welcome, Harley Davidson or other biker shirts/accessories are encouraged.
****In lieu of flowers please go out to dinner and toast to Dan or buy something fun that you've always wanted but really can't afford, in his honor.
