Daniel R. Plumley, Jr
Age 46 of New Castle
Passed away on February 15, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Danny was born in New Castle, Delaware. From a young age Danny was always a talented athlete. He was a pivotal member of his championship team for New Castle Little League. As he entered high school, he became a three-sport athlete, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball. Dan was a proud 1995 graduate of Northwestern High School in South Carolina.
Danny worked as a commercial driver for various Gas/Propane companies. In his down time, he enjoyed fishing, watching the science and history channels, and rooting on the Eagles and Phillies. He loved being a part of a large extended family, but his daughter Gianna was his whole world.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Gianna Plumley; his father, Daniel R. Plumley, Sr; his mother, Connie Glover (Bill); his siblings, Lisa Ruth (Walt), Chris Plumley, Liva Marie Parks (Scott), and Kelsey Robinowich (Philip).
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 11:00am-12:00pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 101 W. 6th St., New Castle, DE 19720. The service will take place at 12:00pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Dan's name to the American Cancer Society, https://donate.cancer.org/.
