Daniel Justin Potts, age 41 of Crossville, TN was born September 23,1983 in Chattanooga, TN and passed away of cancer June 5th 2025 in Pikeville, Tn.
Daniel had a heart of gold, showed kindness to everyone and had a smile that would light up any room he walked in. He had the personality that wouldn't quit. He loved his dog Kong, along with all dogs. Kong was Daniel's best friend. Daniel enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors. He was an avid tattoo artist and also enjoyed free style drawing and music. A new passion he picked up when accepting Jesus and his Lord and Savior, was he loved reading his bible. Most of all, He loved his family. Finally, he is free and at peace.
Daniel is preceded in death by his- grandparents: Charles F. & Barbara J. Walker, Norville & Bobby Buchanon and Lawrence Lane, aunts: Treba Higdon & Karen Lane, uncle: Charles (Chuck) Walker Jr. Survivors include c hildren: Jackson Johnson (Kylee) of Virginia, Dawson Potts of Georgia, Destiny Potts of Georgia and Daniel Jared Potts of Georgia, children's grandmother- Teresa Curtis, mother-Deborah Benoit & step-father David Warren, of Chattanooga, father-David & Charlotte Potts, of Crossville, grandparents: George & Janice Potts, of Paducah, KY and Hallie Lane, of Crossville, siblings: Gary Matthew Benoit (Angela), of Chattanooga, Mark Potts (Janna), of Crossville, Cassidy Potts (Zack), of Crossville, aunts & uncles: James K Walker, of Chattanooga, David K Walker, of Chattanooga, Tracy Clayton (Ritchie), of Chattanooga, Barbara Buchanon of Chattanooga, Harley Potts (Debbie) of Crossville, Katrina McClain of Higdon, Alabama, Jeff Lane of Crossville and Larry Lane of Crossville and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Monday June 23rd 2025, from 1pm –2pm, with service starting at 2pm, at Hood Funeral Home in Crossville, TN. After the service, there will be a celebration of life at Junction 7-70 until 6pm.
