Daniel Justin Preece, Jr., 83, of Bayville, NJ passed away on September 11, 2025. He was born in Bayonne, NJ, and grew up in Brick, NJ before settling to Bayville. He proudly served his country in the US Army Reserves and retired as a Lt. Col. Daniel worked as a pilot and a flight instructor for Monmouth Airlines and as a corporate pilot for Jet Aviation in Teterboro, NJ. Daniel loved sailing and was a member of the Pine Beach Yacht Club and The Quiet Birdman Association.

Mr. Preece is predeceased by his parents Daniel and Catherine Preece, his brothers Jack Preece and Fred Preece and his daughter-in-law Crystal Ferrara. Surviving is his beloved wife of 51 years Barbara Preece, two children, Daniel Preece III and Kristin Preece, two grandchildren, Madeline and Harper, and a sister Cathy Ericksen, and many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be offered for relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 2:00pm - 5:00pm, with Military Honors at 4:30pm, at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721.
