Daniel Paul Quivers affectionately known as "Buster", 77 of Charles City, Virginia transitioned into eternal rest on Monday July 14, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Daniel and Bessie Quivers.
Buster attended Charles City County Public Schools and enlisted in the United States Army shortly after. He proudly served our Country as an 11B20 Light Weapons Infantryman with Honor, Courage, and Commitment. His unwavering dedication reflected highly upon himself achieving several medals of recognition for his acts of valor and heroism in combat. He was extremely proud to say he was a Vietnam Veteran and loved wearing his Vietnam Veteran cap.
Buster married the love of his life 'Tootsie' in June 1974. Together, they embarked on a loving and blissful journey together that lasted 51years.
Buster was a loving gentle giant. He never met a stranger. He was the true definition of a King. He loved his family deeply. He had a strong passion for automobiles. He found great joy detailing his vehicles and keeping them spotless. He enjoyed lifting weights, watching Gunsmoke and football; his favorite team was the Philadelphia Eagles. He retired from PCA after 40 years of hard work and dedication. He worked alongside his brother Arthur (Jim).
He was preceded in death by three brothers Bernard (Dick) Cotman, Jesse Quivers (Gayle), Arthur "Jim" Cotman (Lucy) and one sister Agnes (Boo) Quivers.
He leaves to cherish his loving wife, Liza (Tootsie) Quivers; four sons, Barry Bradby (Deborah), Charles Bradby (Vernetta), Dale Bradby, Lyle Bradby; two daughters, Hattie Threatt, June Bradby, and bonus daughte,r Danielle Bradby; one devoted grandson, Oluwadamini Melvin; two devoted cousins, Joey Quivers and Estelle Crenshaw, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing Buster's spirit lives on in the love and guidance he shared and the lives he touched. He will forever be remembered for his generous heart, warm smile, and infectious laugh.
A public viewing will be held at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140 on July 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A church ceremony and interment will take place at New Vine Baptist Church, 5100 John Tyler Memorial Hwy, Charles City, VA 23030 on July 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Please join the family after the interment in the annex to fellowship but most importantly to celebrate Busters first Heavenly Birthday.
