Daniel Paul Ream Sr., 76, of Taylorville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. Daniel was born on February 4, 1949, in Taylorville, to Donald Ream Sr. and Virginia Kindred. He married Caroline Vancil on July 17, 1970, in Taylorville and she survives. Daniel proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his service, he worked as a truck driver for many years. He was an active member of Taylorville Southern Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife: Carol Ream of Taylorville, IL; son: Daniel (Ruth) Ream Jr. of Taylorville, IL; daughter: Tricia (Shawn) Wells of Taylorville, IL; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; his mother: Virginia Ream of Taylorville, IL; as well as his brothers: Rick Ream of Taylorville, IL, and Terry Ream of San Marcos, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ream Jr.

Per the family's wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.

Sutton Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
