Daniel Rice Obituary
Dan was born in Ohio on September 5, 1954 to Walter Nelson Rice and Geraldine Marie Byers. He served in the Army and then went on to complete carpentry school.
Dan worked as a siding and window installer, and general fix-it-all man, his entire life. He enjoyed helping family, friends, neighbors and elderly fix their homes and many people have stories of the kindness he showed by being honest and fair in his work.
Dan retired to Lake of the Ozarks where he built his own home and was very proud of the work he had done. He was most proud, though, of his children and grandchildren. One of his favorite things was cheering them all on in dance and sports.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Amy, and his children Kristen, Daniel Adam, Lauren, Abigail, Karaleisa and Michelle. Grandchildren Noah Lee, Archer Lee, Agnesa Mae, Octavia Rose, Evelaina Lee, and Ileana Dawn. He is also survived by siblings and countless nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Bonnie, Bud, Vickie, brother in law Dick, and daughter Danielle.
Daniel will be missed for his hard working and caring spirit, and all of his stories that came from a life fully lived.
Per his request, cremation is under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles. No Services at this time.
