Daniel Eric Robinson was born on November 19, 1964. Wonderful, kind, and beloved by all who knew him, Dan grew up in Livingston Manor, New York. From a young age, he found joy in working with and riding horses, developing a lifelong passion that led him to become an award-winning horseman who excelled in all aspects of horsemanship.
In 1985, Dan moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he quickly became known as “Dan-Dan the Hairdo Man.” Over the course of his 40-year career as a talented hairstylist, he worked at several local salons, including HHits, She & He, Aurora, and Salon Salon. His creativity, warmth, and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on both clients and colleagues.
Dan is survived by his loving life partner, Rob Hooks; his stepmother, Claudette Robinson; his stepsisters, Karen Hutchinson and Vikki Van Vliet, his favorite cat, Mr. Whiskers; and countless dear friends whose lives he touched.
Dan is predeceased by his mother, Joanie Robinson, his father, Robert Robinson, and his brother Bobby Robinson.
