Obituary of Daniel Joseph Rodgers
Daniel Joseph "Danny" Rodgers, age 46 and lifetime resident of Pennsauken, passed away suddenly at his home on September 6, 2024. He was born in Willingboro, New Jersey on September 20, 1977.
Danny is the beloved son of Daniel F. and Agnes (nee Schlindwein) Rodgers; dear brother of Colleen, Timothy, Michael (Lisa) and Katie Rodgers; cherished uncle of Makayla, Daymon, Ethan, Patrick, Kacey and Allie Rodgers. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Danny was a huge Notre Dame football, Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time in Ocean City, NJ. Danny took pride and joy talking about his nieces and nephews. They were his best friends, his little buddies. Danny was basically everyone's big brother their protector. He wore his heart on his sleeve and would do anything for anyone. He was a gentle giant with an infectious smile and could make anyone laugh. He brought joy to anyone who met him. To know him was to love him, he was loved by all and will truly be missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday, September 12 from 6 to 8 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 8 PM.

I would see smoke at Bobby Rays when I would get lunch. He would always give me a fist bump and ask me about my family. He knew about the struggles I went through and would always ask me how I was doing with them. And once a year on an unfortunate anniversary he would do a shot with me. He was a good man.

Smoke, andy, and I went fishing for blues on Ms. Barnigate light. I got sick on the way out and when the boat stopped I threw up over board. Smoke refused to go near that spot Andy jumped right in. Andy And I must of caught like 20 fish each, Smoke not 1 blue. The whole time he was upset, paid a $100 didn't catch one fish. I don't even eat fish I am only here for the fishing. I can't believe this. Well Smoke and Andy are up there fishing together again save me a spot, just not smokes.

He was a good and sweet friend. I hardly cried but one time I cried about something and he said don't ever let me see you cry again and I wound up laughing. He had a good heart. He stood up for what was right.

When all walked for Mrs. Rodgers, Danny's mom, and her victorious battle against breast cancer. It was a great day.

He always made time for everyone. He always put everyone else before himself. He was one of the best people I've ever met in my life.
