It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel James Rodriguez, beloved father, husband, brother, son, and friend, who died last week at the age of 37 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Danny was especially kind and funny, and brought light and laughter to everyone he met. He was a devoted father to Carter, Logan and Leah, a loving partner to Chelsea, a beloved brother to Fred and Mike, and a cherished son of Fred and Virginia Rodriguez.
His kindness, humor, and unwavering strength touched the lives of all who knew him. Danny's dedication to his family was his top priority, be it coaching his kids in sports, or taking them on outdoor adventures in Colorado. He loved the Colorado mountains and all they had to offer, including snowboarding, hiking 14ers, off-roading, fishing and camping. He raced motocross, and was talented with all things mechanical. He worked as an electrician at Sturgeon Electric, where he was respected and admired by colleagues and clients alike. He was a proud member of The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 68.
Though his time with us was far too short, Danny leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and compassion. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of his life will be held on July 3 at 4pm at Horan & McConaty Thornton, Colorado, followed by a 5pm reception at Satire Brewing in Thornton.
Rest in peace, Danny. Your spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
