Daniel Joseph Sanchez, 33, of Huntersville, North Carolina passed away January 13, 2026.
He was born July 9, 1992 in Queens, New York to Raul Sanchez and Melissa Muscat Reid.
Daniel had a fondness and passion for reading, enjoyed escape rooms, spending time with family and close friends, and especially with his brothers. He had an affinity for travel and participated in theatre, which he loved since childhood. He had a knack for performing and most recently played the lead role of Seymour in The Little Shop of Horrors in Mooresville. He attended South Iredell High School, graduating in 2010, then obtained his Associates degree in Applied Science at Mitchell Community College. Additionally, he attended Connecticut School of Broadcasting then UNCC where he obtained his Bachelor's of Mechanical Engineering degree.
Daniel is preceded in death by his grandmother, Priscilla Muscat and his grandfather, Albert Sanchez.
Surviving his passing are his beloved mother, Melissa Reid and husband Michael Reid; father, Raul Sanchez and girlfriend JoAnn Farese; brothers, Mason Reid and Ethan Reid; step-sister, Amanda Thornsbury; grandfather, Michael Muscat; grandmother, Gloria Sanchez; aunts, Grace Rivera, Amanda Novinski, Sabrina Sanchez and Gloria Sanchez; uncles, Ronnie Rivera, William Novinski, and Alexander Sanchez; as well as many speical cousins.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville, NC 28092. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, immediately followed by a gathering for family and invited friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. For those that cannot attend in person, the memorial service will be livestreamed beginning at 1:00 pm.
