Daniel K. "Dan" Smeltzer

Daniel was 13 years old when we almost purchased the new home next to his parents. After he started his landscaping business we saw him often. Always with a story to tell. We were amazed with his talents, appreciated the apple pies often brought in exchange for items we gave him. There could not have been a better friend.

Lisa Hall, I am not trying to be inappropriate on this feed. But, was it a powder light blue Pinto? Because if it was, Dan told my parents about the car and I bought it for $500 back in 87 or 88 LOL. It was a beast and I can't tell you how many things went wrong with it LOL 3 starters, a transmission....later. If it wasn't the same car I apologize.

Not my first memory, but my favorite is when he came over while my Dad and I were working on Uncle Adrian's Ford Pinto in my Dad's garage!

Danny has been a friend of my familys since the late 70s. Danny has always been a helpful and kind person. He and my brother were great friends and had many adventures together. Most recently, I saw Dan last year at my Mothers funeral. We exchanged numbers and I had hoped to visit with him, on my next trip to PA. Sending prayers to the Smeltzer family.
