Daniel K. "Dan" Smeltzer

Daniel K. "Dan" Smeltzer, age 64, passed away on October 30, 2024.
Survivors: His sisters, Karen (Brad) Howes, Cheryl (Paul) Ferguson, Susan (Jim) Reynolds, Marianne Smeltzer (Dave Macknis); his nephew, Zachary Howes; niece, Lindsey (Robert) Botsford; and great niece, Isla.
Dan was an amazing man. He helped people without expecting anything in return and had ever-reaching compassion, connection and care for the needs of others. He was a giver, protector and natural storyteller. Growing up among four sisters, Dan was our leader, with accomplishments for us to aspire to; receiving accolades at Tredyffrin-Easttown Middle School, and as Class President and Most Athletic at Technical College High School (formerly Northern Chester County Technical School) majoring in auto mechanics, where he excelled in his trade and all types of machinery. With Dan's entrepreneurial spirit, he started his own landscaping business as a teenager, sustaining it for over 50 years. Dan had so many passions; antique cars & events, being in nature, an animal lover, celebrating with family and friends, especially holidays, selecting gifts to make people smile, seeing purpose in bringing joy to all the lives he touched. The love Dan shared is forever in our hearts.
Visitation: Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 am, Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008.
Celebration of Life: Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 am, Logan-Videon Funeral Home.
Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
