Stephen Marciniszyn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parsell Funeral Homes-Atkins-Lodge Chapel - Lewes on Jan. 26, 2026.
Stephen Marciniszyn Jr., 75, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away with family by his side on January 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Steve was a loving father, husband, and grandfather. He was born on July 30, 1950, in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Stephen Marciniszyn Sr. and Dorothy (Starr) Marciniszyn.

A graduate of Henry C. Conrad High School in Wilmington, Steve continued his education at Salem Community College, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and later at Neumann College, earning a degree in Information Systems. He was employed as an Engineering Technician and later a Systems Analyst for Westinghouse Electric Company in Broomall, PA. He also served as a Senior Systems Analyst for Arms Consultants and a Network Specialist at DuPont, both in Wilmington, DE, and later as an Information Systems Manager at DuPont Photomasks in Round Rock, TX.

He was an avid-if often frustrated-Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, and a devoted collector of team memorabilia. He loved browsing a good flea market, supporting the National Kidney Foundation Walk, and spending time saltwater fishing. He enjoyed attending car shows and was a passionate train enthusiast. Steve was best known as a thinker, a planner, and a builder. He was remarkably talented and imaginative; he could masterfully create anything from materials around the house. He took great pride in the renovations he completed in every home he lived in, each one a reflection of his skill and creativity.

Steve and Audrey loved traveling together and raising their beloved four-legged furry children. Above all, Steve cherished being a father and raised both his children with love, compassion, and strong values. His greatest joy, however, was being "Poppop" to his granddaughters. From family cruise adventures to backyard camping trips-complete with a TV and ice cream for breakfast-to Funland water gun battles and conquering claw machines, to following their ball games and proudly supporting them through their college years, Steve was always there. He was their biggest fan, their steady supporter, and their comic relief.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Audrey Marciniszyn; his son, Erik Marciniszyn of Smyrna, DE; his daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Craig Repko of High Point, NC; and his adoring granddaughters, Emily Repko (fiancé Josh Friday) and Abby Repko. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Hansen (Lorren); nieces and nephews; and a beloved cousin who was more like a brother, Edward Grant (Barbara).

You will be missed by all who knew and loved you; yours was a life well spent.
