Daniel D Spaur passed away May 14th, 2024, surrounded by family. He was 53 years of age. Memorial services will be May 24th at 11 am at the Bridgeport Church of Christ with pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. There will be a dinner following. The family requests casual dress and in lieu of flowers monetary donations can be made to be given to Panhandle Humane Society at a later date. Dan was born September 8th, 1970, to Bobby Spaur and Ava Lynn (Vantine) Spaur. Dan held numerous job positions with his final position being with the Morrill County Department of Roads. Dan had a love of animals and always had his dogs with him. Xena, Bo, and Luke miss him terribly. At times, he was an outspoken man whether he knew you or not. To all he loved but he presented the most valuable thoughts and advice. Dan loved Star Trek and shared that love with his best friend since childhood John Swires. Dan loved all his nieces and nephews and always gave life advice at every opportunity. (Dan's words were, "to just cremate me and throw me in a bar ditch better yet just throw me in a bar ditch.")
Dan is preceded in death by his father Bobby Spaur, mother Ava Lynn Spaur, niece Kylie, and nephew Dylan.
He is survived by his brother Lyle (Shannon) and kids, sister Rae Lynn and kids, Chris Spaur, Kyle (Shelby) and kids, Richie (Kayla) and kids, Tori (Brent), Jennifer (Justin) and kids, Jessika and kids, lifelong friend John Swires and kids.
