Daniel T. Sprunger, 70, a lifelong resident of North Liberty passed away on Tuesday
October 28, 2025, at his home.
Daniel was born on April 15, 1955, in Lakeville, IN to the late Kenneth and Sandra
(Carroll) Sprunger.
Dan graduated from Indiana University then went on to work for IU as the VP of
Information and Technology from 1974-2014. He then went on to become a dedicated
caregiver to his mother until her passing.
Dan was an avid fan of IU sports and Notre Dame as well as the Chicago Cubs. He
was always watching sports, daily. He loved music. He also loved his family, especially
his nieces and great nieces/nephews who he was always checking in with.
Dan is survived by his brothers, Rick and Jeff (Kelly) Sprunger and his nieces Catie
Sprunger and Sandra (Chris) King as well as his great nieces and nephews; Nano,
Angel, and Alexandra.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Kenneth Jr. and Bruce as well
as his sister Jeanette.
Memorial visitation for Dan will be held from 12pm-2pm on Tuesday November 4, 2025,
at the Palmer Funeral Home-North Liberty Chapel, 202 N. Main St. North Liberty. A
memorial service will begin at 2pm and burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, North
Liberty.
