Larry Wayne “Bo” Sprunger II, 59, of Moultrie, GA, died on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Pine Grove Baptist Church at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Stanley Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Moultrie Fire Department, A Shift, Jared Gibson, Alex Garner, Brandon Reynolds, James Stanford, Caleb Mathews, Bryan Gallardo, Kevin Murphy, Luke Barber, Cam Ford, John Neely, Dylan Chapman, Gabe Hodnett, and Luke Barber will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church from 1:00- 2:45 PM
Born on June 17, 1966, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, he was the son of Larry Wayne Sprunger and wife Yvonne of Punta Gorda, FL, and his mother, Linda Joyce Smith of Moultrie, GA. Bo Sprunger was the A Shift Battalion Chief of the Moultrie Fire Department. Chief Sprunger devoted his life to the people of Colquitt County, serving faithfully as a career firefighter with the Moultrie Fire Department and giving countless volunteer hours to the Colquitt County Volunteer Fire Association. His dedication to others never wavered, even in the hardest of times. He showed up not for recognition, but out of a deep love for his community and the people within it. He cherished the peace of the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting, camping, and ranger riding with his granddaughters. Chief Sprunger was of the Baptist Faith. He lived out his faith through constant acts of services, always stepping forward to help neighbors, coworkers, and anyone in need without hesitation.
Chief Sprunger is preceded in death by his brother, Jason Searcy.
Chief Sprunger is survived by his wife, Dianne Ruis Sprunger of Moultrie; son, Jonathan Blake Sprunger and wife Morgan of Moultrie; grandchildren, Magnolia Sprunger and Molly Blake Sprunger; brothers, Christopher Sprunger and wife Danielle of Mt. Juliette, TN, Eric Sprunger and wife Lisa of Punta Gorda, FL; sisters, Victoria Reynolds and husband Rex of Moultrie, Tracy Searcy of Las Vegas, NV; step brother, Chris Smith and wife Christy of Lake Park, GA; step sister, Lisa Bryan of Ellenton, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
