Daniel Stratton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wright Funeral Home and Crematory - Franklin on Nov. 1, 2024.
Courtland – Daniel Joseph Stratton, 44, passed away October 29, 2024. He was born on July 11, 1980 to Kathleen Favicchio and he was her world until she passed. He was preceded by his maternal grandparents, Rita and Joseph Bauman, his Aunt DeeDee Soto who he cherished, and Uncle Joseph Bauman. He leaves behind two Aunts, Marianne Darling and Maureen Geiger, along with many cousins who cared for him, and his special mentor Uncle Guy.
Daniel grew up in Raleigh, NC and had a passion for soccer and spending time with his best buddies. At the height of his career he was a poker dealer and was most proud of the time he spent working for the World Series of Poker.
Daniel leaves behind his daughter, Kathleen Stratton, who in his words was his light. Daniel loved to teach her how to cook and they spent countless hours watching old movies together.
Daniel had a passion for anything football and was a die-hard Carolina Panthers fan. He will be missed by many but now he is at Peace.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3PM Monday, November 4, 2024 in Hollywood Cemetery with Rev. Tom Wallace. Kathleen requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Newsoms Athletic Associate, c/o James T. Cooke, 28115 Grays Shop Rd., Newsoms, VA 23874 or c/o Brent Edwards, 33443 Sunbeam Road, Franklin, VA 23851.
