Daniel passed away suddenly on November 6th. He was born April 10, 1961, the son of Wendell and Wilma (Hart) Strickland. Dan was an accomplished eagle scout. Dan was a 1980 graduate of Hastings High School and attended Kellogg Community College for 2 years. Dan was employed by Hi-lex corporation for 22 years. Most recently was employed by J& L Electric/United Petroleum. He was a very enthusiastic sports follower and enjoyed all sports. He had the gift of living life, attending events of all his nieces and nephews, HHS sporting events, local sport rivalries and keeping up with Detroit Tigers, Lions, Red wings and MSU. Dan left a tremendous influence with every person who knew him. Dan was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Surviving are his mother, Wilma, his brother Gary, two sisters, Marcia and Amy and many nieces and nephews, cousins and many close friends. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 7:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Dowling, MI. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Country Chapel Church Dowling, Michigan. www.henryfuneralhome.org
