Daniel Tolliver Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Daniel C. Tolliver, age 74 of Ashland, WI passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at his home. Daniel was born on July 31, 1950 in Ashland, the son of Charles and Lillian (Westlund) Tolliver.
Dan dedicated many years of his career to Lidgerwood Mundy as a machinist before retiring. Known for his perfectionism, his skills in machining and woodworking were unparalleled. A true jack of all trades, Dan could build anything with a motor, from three-wheeled putters to motorcycles. He had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly fishing in the White River in Mason, WI. He loved that river because, as he often joked, it moved slow-just like him. Above all, Dan fiercely loved his family and was deeply involved in his grandchildren's lives, attending their sporting events with pride, especially enjoying watching them play hockey.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Ronald) Hansen of Superior, WI, and Amy (Kevin) Haney of Duluth, MN; grandchildren, Emily, Abigail, Peter, and Isabelle Hansen, and Wyatt Haney; sisters, MaryAnn (George) Koval of Benoit, WI, and Susan Hayden of Washburn, WI; significant other, Janice Mattson of Ashland; ex-wife, Carol Tolliver; Ernie the spoiled fat cat and many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Dan's request, no formal funeral service will be held. He stated you all have better things to do than get all dressed up to send off a dead guy. He didn't even want an obituary, but we (his daughters) didn't always do as they were told. He'd just want you to live your life, enjoy every minute you have with family and friends and keep God First in everything you do.
