Daniel Trujillo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferrara Colonial Mortuary - Orange on Feb. 5, 2026.
Daniel T. Trujillo, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, in Norwalk, California. Born on May 30, 1939, in Garden Grove, California, Daniel led a life marked by dedication, humor, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.

After growing up and completing his education in Orange, Daniel proudly served his country as a MedTec in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Upon his return, he pursued a career as a sheet metal worker, becoming certified and dedicating over 35 years to his trade. His hard work and dedication were not only evident in his profession but also in every aspect of his life.

Daniel was a man of many talents and interests. Known for being incredibly handy, he was the go-to person for fixing anything. His ability to maintain his own vehicles and those of his family, as well as his skills in landscaping, were just a few of the ways he expressed his love and care. He was an amazing father who not only taught his daughters practical life skills but also the value of hard work and perseverance.

An avid outdoorsman, Daniel relished the times he spent fishing, especially when he could share the experience with his daughters. He was also a boxing enthusiast and a jokester who drew people in with his wit and genuineness. His laughter and playful spirit were contagious, making every family gathering a memorable event.

Daniel's love for his family was unparalleled. He was always present for his daughters, helping with homework, spending time at the park, and attending events at the local church fair. He raised his family in the Catholic faith, encouraging them to embrace their beliefs and the values he held dear.

His presence was a staple at Moreno's restaurant, where he enjoyed dining out and was always greeted warmly. Daniel's zest for life was evident in his appreciation of the simple pleasures, from sharing a meal with loved ones to enjoying the laughter of his grandchildren.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom, remembered by his three daughters, Vivian Castaneda, Amalia Roig, and Elaine Trujillo; three sisters, Eleanor Moreno, Barbara Silvas, and Carmen Trujillo; one granddaughter, Christina Castaneda; two great-granddaughters, Gabriella Ramirez and Brianna Ramirez; one great-grandson, Christian Ramirez; three great-great grandsons, Dominik Piceno, Victor Lopez, Jr., and Damien Olivas; and one great-great granddaughter, Elliana Lopez. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Castaneda; his parents, Romero and Phyllis Trujillo; and his siblings, Romero Jr., Ruben, Gloria, and Veronica Trujillo.

Daniel T. Trujillo's life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of family bonds, and the impact of a life well-lived. His legacy of being loving, handy, and wise will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. He lived a beautiful life, and his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends.
