Daniel Adam Voigt

Daniel Adam Voigt, age 32, of Wells, MN died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Father Andrew Vogel will officiate. Interment will be private. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorials are preferred to Daniel's daughter, (Gabrielle Voigt) College Fund. Daniel Adam was born April 4, 1984 the son of Kevin and Cindy (Wing) Voigt in Albert Lea, MN. He was raised on a farm outside of Wells. Daniel graduated from United South Central High School, the class of 2003. He lived in Brainerd, Minnesota for 8 years working construction with his uncle. He loved baseball and golfing with his family and friends. On July 19, 2014, Daniel was united in marriage to Mara E. Hassing in Wells. To this union, their daughter Gabrielle was born. His greatest joy was his family and friends but most importantly, his daughter. Daniel is survived by his wife and daughter, Mara and Gabby Voigt of Wells; parents, Kevin and Cindy Voigt; 2 brothers, Brandon (wife Angie) Voigt, and Lane Voigt; Grandparents: Melvin and Margaret Voigt, Father and mother-in-law: Gene and Pat Hassing, all of Wells; maternal grandmother, Gail Wing of Sioux Falls, SD; 2 brothers-in-law: Chris (Kristen) Hassing of Scottsdale, AZ; and Tim Hassing of the Twin Cities; sisters-in-law: Abby (husband Travis) Roberts and daughters: Alexis, Paige, McKenzie and Isabella, of Wells, Kelly (Steve) Aguiar and children Tristin and Karley of Chatfield, MN; Many aunts, uncles, cousins and many very special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carter Wing, uncle, Mike Voigt, and aunt, Lynn Wetzel.
